Maruti Suzuki CNG:What to expect?
The recently launched fourth generation Swift has been doing well for Maruti Suzuki as it remains one of the most successful hatchbacks in the market. According to Carwale, Maruti Suzuki will launch the Swift CNG on September 12 ahead of the festive season.The hatchback will be available in a variety of trims but it will be interesting to see if the car will be offered only in the entry-level and mid-level variants or if the company will end up offering the top-of-the-line CNG model.The Swift CNG will be powered by the naturally aspirated 3-cylinder petrol engine of the 1,197 cc Z12E, the same as the ICE version. This will be the first time the engine will be available in a CNG option.
Maruti Suzuki CNG:Price
Considering the price gap between the internal combustion engine and CNG models in Maruti Suzuki’s lineup, the Swift CNG is likely to carry a premium of Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 90,000.The Swift ICE is priced from Rs. 83.4 lakh to Rs. 1.398 lakh with the ex-showroom being located in Delhi.The Swift CNG will be competing with the Grand i10 Nios CNG and the Tiago CNG. Currently, Tata Motors is offering a discount of Rs 15,000 on the Tiago CNG.
